Dear fellow bloggers, both pro- and no- KUPA movement.. as we have been indicating for a while now, the second phase of KU andolan has started. We waited for four months because we believed in giving benefit of doubt to KU management. We are academics- we must believe in fairness. And we have been fair so far. Even when the authorities gave Rs2,000 per head and Wai wai noodles to selected students to influence the last round of talks, we stayed calm. Even when we were continuously assured of implementations of agreement, we waited patiently. However, recent turn of events (the famous writ by "third party", the recent hush hush senate meeting, very recent condescending letter to "invite" us for talks)make us wonder how serious KU authorities are about the role of KUPA as an integral part of KU. All the same, we shall reciprocate by taking part in the talks- that shows how serious KUPA is about well being of KU. Are we optimistic? Track record of KU authorities so far certainly don't give us many reasons for optimism. However, we will go in with a slight hope that KU authoritis will be more serious this time round. Don't underestimate KUPA. Analyse where we were six months ago and how far we have come since then. Assess our support- what you see is just the tip of the iceberg. KUPA is breaking down the iron gate. The worst anyone could do now is to pretend the gate was never there.

Thanks for your opinion.
Our support is always with KUPA and dignified faculty members of KU.
