Sitaram! Shame! Shame!

It looks that every move of KU administrators has boomeranged on themselves. After unduly terminating very good teachers, which KU is in dire need, KU authorities tried to penalize Dr. Boris Niraula for his participation in JanaAndolan-2 and Lokatantric movement in KU. In the intervening period, we witnessed that Suresh Raj himself tried to portray himself as a saint while brushing all the dusts of his nepotism below the carpet. However, KU faculties, mainly the KUPA members, stuck to their points and continued to stage sit-in protests against the highhandedness of KU administrators, Dr. Suresh Raj and Dr. Sitaram.

On the other hand, emboldened by sound legal advices from the nearer and dearer ones, Sitaram embarked on his sacking spree by handing in termination letters to 12 honest, dignified and hard working faculty members of KU. Instead of terminating his sons' services in KU, Sitaram preferred to sack the sons and daughters of ordinary Nepalis. Since, Sitaram is hell bent in providing KU leadership to his progenies at a platter, he thought it worthwhile to wipe out possible dangers to future coronation of his legatees in KU officialdom. There came his grossly miscalculated "brahmastra" of firing KUPA members.

However, never ever in his dream Sitaram might have dreamt that he would be locked in his own room while all the three main gates of KU remains locked to prevent entry of local goons and escape of his own servants in KU. KUPA members did the most sensible work by preventing the entry of local goons, as it would have definitely created unprecedented situation in KU history. Going by the mandale behavior of Suresh Raj Sharma during the demonstration of KUPA, which reminds us of the latest visit of Kamal Thapa to Rayamajhi commission, KU administrator would never hesitate to employ every available trick in the book. Apart from employing local goons to attack dignified faculty members, KU authorities are reportedly pressurizing the family members of some key KUPA officials to renegade on ongoing KUPA movement.

However, the righteous faculty members of KUPA have clearly called the bluffs of Dr. Suresh Raj and Sitaram in that no member of KUPA is as power hungry as Dr. Suresh Raj and Dr. Sitaram. They thought that they would be able to induce the members of KUPA by such tactics. On the other hand, if you believe the grapevine even some supporters of Dr. Suresh Raj is likely to quit him because of his too much reliance on Sitaram. They are arguing that Dr. Suresh Raj should immediately sack Dr. Sitaram and appoint one of themselves as registrar to diffuse current KU crisis. Caught between the devil and the deep blue sea, Dr. Suresh Raj is mulling to sack Dr. Sitaram and appoint somebody else as registrar.

It is, therefore, victory for KUPA as Dr. Suresh Raj is forced to backtrack and is now at the verge of sacking his own-time confidant Dr. Sitaram. However, this should not make KUPA friends complacent because Dr. Suresh Raj and Dr. Sitaram can do anything to save their respective chairs. Moreover, it is possible that this could just be another drama to diffuse the current crisis, and it is quite possible that once the dust is settled, Dr. Suresh Raj may reinstate Dr. Sitaram by forcing the handpicked registrar to resign. Apart from this, the chief issue is not termination of Dr. Sitaram. Rather, what KUPA must concentrate on is termination of nepotistic mindset, and corrupt practices, which is groomed, and well protected in KU by none other than Dr. Suresh Raj. Therefore, KUPA must ensure that along with Dr. Sitaram, Dr. Suresh Raj should also resign. Only then, the due honors of KU will be restored.

The Photos below portray one of the finest days in KU history when Dr. Suresh Raj and Dr. Sitaram were confronted in their own citadels by the dignified faculty members. It is learnt that Dr. Sitaram, while pretending to be in negotiation with KUPA members, called one of his agents at Dhulikhel to dispatch local goons into KU to thrash the faculty members. Hearing that conversation, some diligent teachers immediately started closing the main gates. The photos below show those moments.

A new episode in KU:

Today COMP305 exam of my brother and his year students.

कावि कम्प्युटर dept. का Assistant Professors भनौदाहरु किन हो आफुले नपढाएको बिषयको question paper बनाउन खुसी हुन्छन।

today the paper of comp305 consist of 22/30 in subjective test were far away from the course taught to CS/CE 3rd year and CS 2nd year. similarly half of objective paper was of same.

It is reported that when the students asked the subject teacher, they found that she even could not solve any of it.

Mr. Manish Pokharel says "lets see what i can do". After asking his assurance he said that he cannot assured of anything.

We seek KUPA to raise voice against such practices in KU which is not done by admins but by your own collegues.

And its not the first time, The case was similar in case of Prolog for CS batch 2002and 2003 last year and microprocessor of CE batch 2003 that is also last year. And the same sentence were told by the Incharge.

Lets see what you all do when its to be done against your own collegues.

To anonymous regarding COMP305 exam. As a faculty of KU and KUPA member, I would like to express my surprise at this event. KUPA has been setup to identify problems such as these and to find out how to resolve such crisis. If students approach KUPA, we will ask the HOD of Computer Science what really happened, officially. Ultimately, it's the HOD which has to solve these problems related to both staff and students. If not, he should not be holding this position.

Kick Pokhrel out.. I still remember him talking PASCAL class back in 1997. He used to sign into class 15 mins late, then try to threaten the class saying '50% marks is in my pocket' repeatedly. I would say he would spare 10-20 preaching about his power.. and run 10 mins early.

At the end when we reviewed the notes we would just have 4 lines written in the entire 1 hour long class.

Bloody bugger!!
