Future of KU and Suresh Raj
Many of us tolerated tantrums of Suresh Raj, Sitaram and their relatives with a hope that they will correct themselves. However, year after year they have started recruiting utterly nonsensical people just because they happened to be relatives of Suresh Raj and Sitaram. It is an open secret before all the faculties and students of KU how a few of these relatives downgraded the quality of education. But, KU movement came with a hope amidst such nepotistic chaos. We hoped that Suresh Raj would now stop his nepotistic and corrupt practices. To the contrary, Suresh Raj has managed to bribe everybody who is corrupt. Similarly, he has managed to drive a wedge between people who are steadfastly working for releasing KU from his choking hold. Ultimately, he has shown his real face by shamelessly plotting against a son of a Dalit. The son of a Dalit has already departed, but his bruised psyche has affected our own psyches. In addition, when we see murderers still functioning with much more ferocity, we can sense that even in New Nepal, KU would remain in feudal clutches. This alone has raised questions about KU's future.
1) How can KU claim that it is centre of excellence when excellent staffs are forced to commit suicide?
2) How can KU claim that it is for developing an egalitarian Nation after sacking voices for organizational rights?
3) How can KU claim that it will produce honest citizen when VC Suresh Raj is bringing is corrupt brothers in KU to thrash other faculties?
4) How can KU claim that it will teach students never to practice nepotism when Suresh Raj and Sitaram are busy recruiting their worthless wards?
5) How can KU claim that it will support Lokatantra when Suresh Raj himself is a mandale?
So the future of KU now depends on continuation of Suresh Raj in KU. If Suresh Raj continues in KU, then we must know that there is no future for anyone be it students, faculties and staffs in KU. KU will be entrenched more into useless nepotism and corruption where blood relation will count more than dedication and qualification.
KU under Suresh Raj would continue to sign MOUs with many universities all over the world to provide free junkets to relatives of Suresh Raj and Sitaram. They have dexterously used these connections and very well entertained and endowed their wards with secrets of success in Life.
With continuation of Suresh Raj as VC in KU, faculties would rather have to do research into how to please this deranged fellow. So, only those who does not hesitate to lick the boot of the murderers would survive in KU. Upright faculties would find it nauseating to work under such ruthless administrator.
However, future of KU is not our future neither it is the future of a handful of administrators. The future of KU belongs to KU students and we have to safeguard the interests of the students. KU comprises of students who are paying their own money to acquire education and become good citizen. For the sake of these students, and their futures, we should not quit our jobs here in KU and stop our fight against this merciless VC. Rather than giving up, we need to energize ourselves for a fight which will end only with departure of this rascal. And we need to ensure that his departure from KU would land him inside Dhulikhel jail. That would alone be safeguarding KU's future while paying our tribute to Late Buddhi Bahadur Biswokarma.
